The JREF has been a big supporter of SkeptiCamps all over the world, and we encourage everyone in the Washington, D.C. area to attend Skepticamp D.C. this weekend.  For those who haven't participated in a SkeptiCamp before, they're all-day conferences organized and presented by the local skeptics community.  They're a perfect opportunity to educate others in your own area of expertise or become better educated on subjects where your knowledge might be lacking.  They're also a melting pot of new ideas for spreading critical thinking into the larger community and using skepticism to help people in need.

Some of the topics on the schedule for SkeptiCamp D.C. include conspiracy theories, science education in the developing world, quantum physics, and fact-based healthcare.  And those are just a fraction of the enlightening presentations on offer.

SkeptiCamp D.C. will be held this Sunday, October 16th starting at 10am at the University of Maryland College Park.  Register now
