Last night, James Randi delivered another of his highly in-demand lectures at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. A sold-out crowd of hundreds packed into Ohlone's Smith Center to see Randi live, and several more watched via live video feed in a nearby overflow room. The enthusiasm from the crowd was very nearly overwhelming, especially during a moving and personal introduction by Prof. Sheldon Helms.

Randi's talk was kindly sponsored by the Ohlone College Psychology Club , a group of students inspiring in their curiosity and passion for critical thinking. Before the show, Randi had the pleasure of meeting with these students personally, and he could not have come away more impressed.

The night before Randi's lecture, I had the great pleasure of joining several local skeptics for a Skeptics in the Pub gathering to talk a little bit about the JREF's efforts to educate the public about critical thinking. Many of these folks will also be attending the SkeptiCal conference in Berkeley next weekend, and I can't wait to see them again when I deliver the JREF's workshop on grassroots organization there on April 21.

Very special thanks to Prof. Sheldon Helms, John Prendergast, and everyone in the Ohlone College Psychology Club for making this event such a rousing success.
