Director of Educational Programs
Full-time position reports to the President and is responsible for assisting in the development educational and workshop programs and courses in scientific skepticism and critical thinking, both for adults, and for children ages 7-14. Oversees and administers the "JREF in the Classroom Program." Assists in the design and implementation of teacher training in scientific skepticism, regional grassroots skepticism workshops, and online skepticism courses. Application open until filled.

Requirements of the successful candidate:
-
Master's degree or comparable experience in a related field, such as education, information technology, or the sciences

Passion for scientific skepticism and the mission of the JREF
-
Experience in the grassroots skeptic movement
-
Experience in one or more of the following: informal science education, instruction, curriculum design or curriculum development
-
Strong organizational, leadership and technical skills
-
Demonstrated familiarity with history of the contemporary skeptical movement and its goals

Proven educational or administrative experience in solving complex problems for individuals and/or organizations
-
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
-
Experience with event planning and management

Considerable experience in education at the primary, secondary or college level or at an informal science education institution
Location:
Ft. Lauderdale preferably. Telecommuting from elsewhere in the contiguous United States will be considered.
