That’s the question recently pondered over at a recent Hamburg meeting of top German security officials, prompted by the Secretary of the Interior, Udo Nagel. As a result, Germany could be asked to ban the U.S.-based Church of Scientology under a proposal that contends the group violates human rights. After looking into the facts about the Church of Scientology, the German government now considers it a commercial enterprise that takes advantage of vulnerable people.

James Van Praagh is a famous "psychic" who claims to speak with the dead.
This video shows the anatomy of his trickery and the length to which he'll go to exploit people's grief and vulnerability, as well as the media's eagerness to promote him.
This video work is part of a larger art exhibition that Jose Alvarez is showing at The Kitchen Gallery in New York City until December 22, 2007, at 512 W. 19th Street between 10th and 11th Avenue, 10011.

I urge you to go immediately to Badscience.net and download/print this excellent article for future reference. It is the single most effective item that I’ve ever seen examining – from the scientific point of view – the farce known as homeopathy. This will equip everyone with the facts, the arguments, the history and the simply ludicrous nature of this so-called medical philosophy and practice. It’s all done in a bit more than 4,000 words, it’s painless reading, and it’s a huge step forward in this ongoing battle between legitimate medical practice and quackery.
