It appears that Dr. Richard Boylan hasn’t been at all slowed down in his efforts to preach woo-woo. From October 25th, we were forwarded this set of endorsements of his campaign. From UFOFacts Yahoo Groups we see kudos for his pretentious “StarKid & Star Seed Adult Workshop” held in Pennsylvania. Here are a few examples:
What a wonderful experience!!! I have no other words to describe what you kindly shared with us. Thank you so much.

At the JREF, we've been a huge supporter of Robert S. Lancaster and his stopkaz.com and stopsylviabrowne.com sites. You'll notice that I didn't link to stopsylviabrowne this time... that's because that site has been taken over by someone who does not have the same interests as Robert. Sadly, during Robert's illness, his domain lapsed and was instantly snatched up by someone who may or may not be associated with Sylvia Browne.

Fringe is a science fiction television show created by three ex-writers from the show Alias – most notably, J.J. Abrams, creator of Lost. No matter what else I say about Fringe, it definitely did one thing for me, at least. It quietly and completely removed all hope that Lost is going to be concluded in anything resembling a logical manner.
As an awesome video game reviewer once said, "This is just all bad all the time, to the degree where it starts getting rather worrying." He wasn't talking about Fringe, but it totally works here as well. Woo in Review: FRINGE (FOX)
Skepticism's Big Tent

Note: This post is a modified version of an email I sent to someone who was concerned about the state of the skepticism movement. I think it should have a broader audience.
I am privileged to be the President of the JREF. I'm a skeptic, and I try to live my life that way (usually succeeding, I hope). Randi was one of the largest prime motivators for me to be a critical thinker, and my friendship and admiration for him go back many years.
Yet, as Randi himself has pointed out, he and I have very different backgrounds, both academically and in general. Randi comes into skepticism from his being a phenomenal conjurer, stage magician, and trickster. I come from the angle of being formally trained as a scientist, specifically an astronomer.
