Folks, I’m back from a very successful and enjoyable tour in Norway: three lectures in Oslo, Trondheim, and Bergen, a meeting with young Humanists as part of their studies for confirmation, and more than a dozen media interviews in less than a week resulting in comments which I got from -- literally -- all over the world. Despite the best efforts of the faith healers, homeopaths, and a guardian-angel-obsessed princess to mislead the Norwegian public, I’m happy to report that there is a strong Humanist movement in Norway that is fighting back. Through the Norwegian Humanist Association’s Ingen liker å bli lurt (Nobody likes to be fooled) campaign, we've helped share the value of critical thinking and skepticism with hundreds of thousands of Norwegians, and the reaction continues to this very day.
Links to news stories and videos will be posted here in short order, along with the full video of my lecture in Trondheim which was streamed live online last week. Click “Read More” to see photos from the tour in Norway.
