Questions and Answers:

CAN I APPLY?
Yes! Anyone can apply.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Anyone who will be unable to attend TAM 6 without financial assistance.

HOW IS THE MONEY SPLIT UP?
Every time we raise enough money to pay for a TAM 6 registration, an award is given on a first come, first served basis. Any money left over will be applied to next year's scholarship. If for any reason money is unable to be awarded, it will become a donation to the JREF.

IS THIS A CONTEST?
No. You will not be asked to submit an essay or any financial records. We trust that if you apply, you are someone who honestly needs the money or would otherwise be unable to attend TAM 6.

HOW DO WE KNOW THE MONEY IS GOING TO SCHOLARSHIPS?
We wish to preserve the privacy of those who apply and those who donate, so we can't offer any form of proof that a scholarship was awarded. If you trust the JREF, rest assured that the money is going to people who need it.

WHO STARTED THE SCHOLARSHIP?
This scholarship is the result of a grassroots effort by several caring members of the JREF community who didn't want money to be a barrier to those who are passionate about the mission of the JREF. It is rather informal, but has worked well in years past.
